Formed in the summer of 1978 Chaos were a four-piece punk band, influenced by UK Subs, Crass and The Buzzcocks amongst others. Band members met at school and were all members of the now famous Erics club in Liverpool, watching bands such as Joy Division, Slaughter and the Dogs and Wire. The band toured extensively around the North West and supported bands such as A Flock of Seagulls, The Hoax and Seventeen (Later renamed The Alarm). Chaos had a large local following but due to the fans excitable behaviour the band found themselves banned from many venues. The demo was recorded at Drone Studios in Manchester, home to some of The Buzzcocks, The Drones and The Pack recordings.
Band members are still active now in the Manchester and Liverpool music scenes, playing, recording and promoting bands.
Thanks to Steve Brown
